Lor-Mar Holdings rebrands to UBS

In order to recognize the broader goal of the UBS geographic expansion and shared one company approach, and the increased focus on continued expansion into the service and owner direct business lines, the company rebranded as United Building Solutions.

Service Owner Direct Revenue exceeds 50% of total revenue

This is an example of the progress being made by the entire company increasing the focus of the business on providing great solutions to end customers.

UBS exceeds $100M in revenue

This is a milestone that was achieved due to both the acquisition program and the resources employed to focus on organic growth at the operating companies.

Lor-Mar hires Dave Leathers, further professionalizing the management team

Building on Dave’s background and significant experience creating high value operations in the service and owner direct part of the industry, this is a key step in moving the business focus toward providing owner direct solutions and building a foundation of reoccurring revenue to improve UBS’s ability to drive value for our customer base and our investors.

Completed acquisition of Unitemp, Inc., Mechanical Degrees, and A&B

This was a key step in the geographic expansion into the very dense building market in the northeast and the addition of key technical offerings through the addition of Unitemp’s controls expertise and existing building solution design.

Doubled service owner direct revenue since 2019, and projecting ~$60M for 2023 (~55% of total)

Continuing to increase the percentage of the business coming from the highly valuable building owner portion of the market through the experience that UBS brings to the operating companies who can capitalize on the expertise provided by UBS to take advantage of their ability to provide great building owner technical solutions.

Lor-Mar acquired by Crescendo Capital Partners and Newspring

New investors provided key resources and support to grow the business through acquisition and needed investment for organic growth into the building owner portion of the market.

Launched core HVAC services and maintenance business

This was the company’s entry into the service and owner direct portion of the market, which set the stage for the future expansion and value creation into that part of the market.

First customer contract entered

Lor-Mar enters into their first customer contract with the Philadelphia Housing Authority.

Hit the $20M revenue mark

Focused on growing the platform and expanding into service & maintenance, the company brings in $20M in revenue.

Lor-Mar founded

The company was founded as the combination of two HVAC businesses, and has two divisions: Construction and Service. The original owners started Lor-Mar as a construction company, and introduced the service side of the business a few years later.
